Exodus 34

Naturally the verse in Chapter 34 regarding God being merciful, slow to anger, rich in kindness is the one that pops out when describing His Nature.  Let us all remember that we are fallen in nature and can not gain heaven on our own merits but only by His Grace.  But the Lord is one that is merciful and will forgive us of our sins if only we ask it of Him.  God is also a 'Jealous One.'  Let us all meditate to ensure we are not putting any persons, places, or things before him.  Heavenly Father, Thank You for your kindness and mercy.  I appreciate the forgiveness of my sins.  I thank you for the shed blood of your Only Begotten Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.  Please cover us in the blood of the lamb and forgive us of our sins.  We are a sinful people and can not gain heaven based on my behaviors.  I pray that I will put to the side any person, place, or thing that may be keeping me from growing closer to you.  I pray this in the name of Jesus.

Exodus 29-32

Roman Catholic understand the importance of keeping Holy the Lord's day.  The commandment was keeping Holy the Sabbath (Saturday), but Christ's Resurrection has taken the place of our our observance of the Sabbath.  We hope it does at the least. I have always found Aaron's denial and his story to be one of ridiculousness.  "24 'Let anyone has gold jewelry take it off' They gave it to me, and I threw it into the fire and this calf came out." Threw the gold in and this nicely formed statue just magically popped out the fire with no molding and the like.  This is how ridiculous we sound when we lie and do not tell the truth.  God Knows All.  Do not be a fool and be honest to yourself and others.  Lies will only hurt.   An idol does not have to be a statue, but can be anything.  No one in our church should be praying to a statue as the Old Testament states the importance of idol worship.  These statues are merely images of the saint/Jesus who is i

Exodus 13-16

The human condition is ever present in the readings for today.  What first comes to mind is the continual visual, physical, and real world signs these people have experienced and they continued to doubt, complain, and moan.  There is much to learn as we can also forget the things that God has done for us and delivered us from.  The same conditions and mistakes this people make are some of the same that we make.  There is much to be learned from this peoples' behaivor. Ch14 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to bring us forth out of Egypt? Analysis: Miracle after miracle to free this people of slavery.  The people are complaining about going into the past when they have been delivered by God. Do not look to go back to past situations after you were delivered.  Especially if sinful/selfish/etc are involved.  God has put you in a new situation for a reason.  Let

Exodus 5-8

Yahweh, I Am, are all revelations that our Heavenly Father has given to us in Chapter 6. He is the beginning and the end, the alpha and Omega. He gives life to all and is the only reason we can even take a breath. All power, authority, and dominions are subject to him.  His power is everlasting.   Side notes: Chapter 5: It is quite amazing that Pharaoh heard God yet rejected him.  Pharaoh's pride got in the way as he viewed himself in charge and not able to bow the the One True God.  Similar to Lucifer. Chapter 6: God's covenant is eternal and shall not be broken.  The will of God shall be fulfilled. Chater 7-8 Pharaoh's hardened heart prevented him from bowing to the atrocities done to Egypt.  God sends us many signs to attempt to wake us up when we stray.  We can be like pharaoh and enables a state of being deaf, dumb, and blind. Heavenly Father, help me to hear your voice and heed the warning you give me before you show your mighty strength.  Hel

How does God Reveal Himself to Moses (Exodus 1-4)

Many things are revealed in the way God has come forth to Moses. God comes to Moses in nature and the wilderness with a spectacular fiery image. A bush was inflamed but not burning. Would you be frightened? Would you run? Then God speaks out to Moses. Hearing the voice of God is no easy task. It may be difficult in today's noise and being constantly being plugged? God does not talk through technology, but the quiet and peace. Would you be able to hear his voice? To hear his voice you must come to the quiet. God has revealed himself in a way that most would not typically think. This tells me once again God's ways are not our ways.  God instructs Moses to remove the shoes from his feet. We must come to God in reverence and with a sincere heart. God's image is so pure even in the image of a fire that Moses had to hide his face.  Chapter 1 starts with the Egyptians killing all of the male babies of the Hebrew people. Not a good way to start out and you will know you are a

Genesis 46-50

Once again Joseph gives God the glory in Genesis 50:20. 50:20 speaks of God's will and the ability for God to do extraordinary things considering human circumstances. God's will be done and he can do all things if we give him the Glory he deserves and put our faith in him. Love the prophecy of Jacob before his death in Genesis 49. Let us all think of how a prophet would explain our characters. We are all created and still alive for a reason. Let us make the most out of our lives and live life the way God wants us to live. Remember God knows the heart. Jacob speaks, "Few and hard have been years of my life" (Gen 47:9). Jacob was 130 years old when he stated this. I think we can all related that our lives have gone by very quickly so far and they have not always been easy. Even if you live to 100 your life is in a blink of an eye. We are all going to die soon. Let us get ready. Heavenly Father help us to give you the glory, put our faith in you, reflect on our live

Joseph the slave

Judah is now holding himself accountable. Seems he has Repenter and standing for what is right. It reminds me that God knows the heart. I feel he may spare us at times when he knows what our potential is as he is the Beginning and the end. Josephgave the glory go God regarding his dream interpretation, which more than likely brought more blessings. Let us all remember to give God the glory. Joseph also showed mercy and found it interesting he started under Pharaoh at the age of 30. Lord Jesus make my heart more like yours.

Do I trust God?

I can trust God when i put the flesh aside and live in the Spirit. The problem is many times i think I have it figured out and have a plan. I think i know best and what is right for me . Then God flips the script because his time is not our time. I know when I trust him his will is enough and is the best for me even if I don't see it immediately that way. Put all your trusts in the Lord and bring everything before him. Heavenly Father give me the grace to trust you unconditionally and assist me in putting my plan to the side. You know I love you and want to serve you. Please let your Will transform my life. I pray this in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.

A New Creation

Like Abraham we have been chosen to be a new creation. God has chosen me to be the spouse, husband, dad and worker he wants me to be. God's will be done. God wants !me to live life to the fullest, but I can not do it by myself as I have failed countless times before. But through the infinite mercy of God he has made me a new creation through Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father through the power of the Holy Spirit bless my life to assist me in being the man you want me to be. I know that I am powerless and can not do it by myself. With your love, strength, power and might I can do all things. I pray this in the powerful name of Jesus.
It amazes me at the level Abram is able to hear the voice of God. What ways can we increase the ability to hear the voice of the Lord? Think about all the noises in this world. Come to the quiet.
